findings in floyd

In a small Virginia town of about 3000 people and Blue Ridge blacktop, I have managed to find:
-$2 leather shoes
-a Miranda Automex SLR from 1962, previously owned by Roy Burke, JR. Attorney at Law, of Marion, VA.
-a drink called "Pumpkin Pie" that made me feel like i was in 8th grade again, but nonetheless delicious.
-a cheap, awesome pizza made with all locally grown, organic ingredients (including summer squash out of devin's stepmom's garden)
-four adorable kittens
-a three story fabric store
-a tiny little store for organic, local food, based on trust (as in, no cashier. You come as you please and leave your money in an envelope)
-the Floyd Country Store, celebrating its 100th year of operation and celebration of bluegrass music (there was even an exhibit
-a tour of Devin's childhood home
-wineberries, which are like a sourer raspberry and grow wild along the road.
-wonderful people and a thoroughly pleasant day.

And in a matter of minutes we hit the road all the way to NYC.
COFFEE TIME.
